The Leasing Professional is responsible for driving leasing success through proactive sales efforts, exceptional customer service, and accurate financial record keeping. This role plays a key part in showcasing the community to prospective residents by effectively demonstrating apartment homes, communicating value-driven features and benefits, and converting leads into leases. In addition to leasing and marketing efforts, the individual will assist with resident relations and perform essential administrative tasks, including processing rental payments, vendor invoices, and maintaining accurate property accounting records.
Job Responsibility:
Greet, qualify, tour, and close prospects using guest cards and established procedures
Record all phone and in-person traffic

Showcase community and apartment features

Have prospects complete applications
secure deposits per policy and Fair Housing
Coordinate apartment readiness
complete new-resident orientations and paperwork
Follow up on non-closing prospects
refer to sister communities when appropriate
Monitor renewals
distribute renewal notices and complete follow-ups
Assist in monitoring advertising effectiveness and traffic sources
Distribute company/community notices, newsletters, and flyers
Use leasing/accounting software to record, store, and analyze information
Accept and post rental payments

Code/verify invoices

Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy and proper codes
Prepare statements/notices for former residents
support monthly close tasks
Maintain leasing logs and monthly commission reports (if applicable)

Maintain open communication with the Community Manager and Maintenance Supervisor
Contribute to cleanliness and curb appeal on an ongoing basis
Assist in planning and hosting resident functions

Assist with banners/flags/signage placement and updates
Conduct market surveys and shop competitive communities
Comply with safety rules

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Sales experience: 1 year (Required)
English (Required)
Fair Housing knowledge (certification per EPC policy)
Professional presence, positive attitude, deadline reliability
