Randstad are proud to partner with a Department who manages the leasing portfolios for whole of Government across Queensland. There is an immediate need for a Leasing Coordinator to join the team on a 3 month initial contract. The contract is designed to align with the current contract cycle across the whole team and extensions would be released in 3-6 month blocks. With many permanent staff in the team beginning their careers in similar contracts, this is a real opportunity to build a successful name for yourself within the QLD Government Property sector. As a Leasing coordinator , you will provide crucial support to our department's leasing team through your expertise in property matters. Reporting to the Principal Lease Manager, Lease Management Group, the Lease Coordinator will assist in whole-of-Government lease procurement and lease management; including financial and tenancy management.
Job Responsibility:
Assist a leasing team to plan and deliver the supply of leased assets within the State Government's property portfolio
Provide lease management advice concerning commercial leasing for the State Government's office property portfolio
Support the delivery of executive or sensitive leasing projects and the provision of office accommodation for the Department
Provide support to the updating of streamlined lease management, and tenancy and financial management systems
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
Assist with the implementation of the leased component of whole-of-Government accommodation strategies
Provide support with the development of policies, guidelines and systems for best practice office accommodation leasing use and implementation
Provide timely support and assistance with research into advice on marketplace conditions and industry trends
Contribute to the Department's responsibilities in supporting the QLD Government Portfolio
Negotiating and representing the Department at intra departmental meetings
Develop networks across the Department
Assist with the preparation of executive correspondence and briefing notes
Requirements:
Property Economics graduate preferred
Legal background highly regarded
Leasing experience managing large portfolio preferred
Clear criminal history (Evidence prior to commencing)
Hold relevant qualifications in Property Economics
Possess current Open Class C Driver's Licence (Queensland) or equivalent
Pass a Criminal history check prior to appointment
Be eligible to work within Australia
Strong oral/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
