We are looking for a dynamic Leasing Agent to join our team in Long Beach, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in managing leasing activities across a multi-site portfolio of residential properties. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, has experience, demonstrates a passion for customer service, and has an aptitude for multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Greet prospective clients warmly and assess their needs to match them with suitable properties
Provide detailed information about residential properties and the surrounding community to prospective tenants
Schedule and conduct property tours, ensuring units are presented in the best possible condition
Oversee the application process, including collecting deposits and ensuring adherence to Fair Housing regulations
Collaborate with Property Managers and Maintenance teams to address tenant concerns and maintain property standards
Monitor advertising efforts and adjust strategies to enhance leasing performance
Conduct regular inspections of vacant units, document conditions using AppFolio, and post advertisements online
Execute leasing agreements and related documents with tenants who have relevant experience, ensuring compliance with company policies
Support marketing initiatives by offering creative ideas to promote properties and attract new tenants
Stay informed on local market trends and competition to maintain a competitive edge
Requirements:
Possess a valid California driver’s license and have reliable, insured transportation
Demonstrate at least 3 years of experience in residential leasing, preferably across multiple sites
Exhibit strong communication and organizational skills, along with computer literacy
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AppFolio is highly preferred
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required
Maintain a positive and detail-oriented attitude, even in challenging situations
Familiarity with Fair Housing laws and property leasing regulations
Capability to work across multiple locations and adapt to changing schedules
