Job Description:

Leasehold / Independent Living Officer – Essex – £22.68 LTD p/h – Temp to Perm. Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Leasehold / Housing Officer to join a leading housing provider within their Independent Living (Retirement) service. This is a temp to perm opportunity, offering a stable long-term role supporting leaseholders aged 55 across two schemes in Essex.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage a portfolio of retirement leasehold properties across two locations
  • Act as the main point of contact for residents, responding to queries and concerns
  • Provide guidance and support on service charges, estimated costs, and year-end accounts
  • Handle leasehold enquiries and resolve issues efficiently
  • Support the delivery of high-quality housing management within Independent Living schemes
  • Conduct site visits and maintain a visible presence for residents
  • Work with internal teams to resolve maintenance, service, and management issues
  • Build positive relationships with older residents and manage challenging situations professionally

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS required
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle essential
  • Experience in Leasehold Management (preferred) OR an experienced Housing Officer with strong leasehold knowledge
  • Understanding of service charges, estimated budgets, and year-end accounts
  • Experience working with older residents / retirement housing (desirable)
  • Confident communicator with strong customer service skills
  • Able to manage a varied workload across multiple sites
