Looking for a Career with True Purpose? Become a Learning Support Worker. Location: Cranleigh, Surrey. Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Part-time options available-just ask!). We are looking for individuals with a positive, can-do attitude to join our team as Learning Support Workers. In this role, you won't just be doing a job-you will be directly empowering autistic adults to gain independence, learn new skills, and live life to the absolute fullest.

Job Responsibility

  • Planning and delivering creative lessons and activities that help learners achieve their personal goals
  • Supporting learners to access social, leisure, and local employment opportunities
  • Helping learners make their own choices, promoting individual empowerment, and supporting their daily personal care needs
  • Keeping accurate records and data of the progress learners are making

Requirements

  • GCSE Maths & English Grade C/4 or above is desirable
  • Sound literacy and numeracy skills
  • Strong respect for confidentiality
  • Relevant experience (professional, voluntary, or personal/lived experience) caring for or working with adults or young people with disabilities
  • Resilience and calmness in high-pressure situations
  • Comfortable with personal care
  • Ability to plan and deliver creative lessons
  • Experience in administering medication
  • Experience in managing challenging behaviour
  • Experience with autism spectrum disorders
  • Experience with learning difficulties
  • Experience with social emotional mental health
