Job Description

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of autistic adults? This incredible setting is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Worker to join our team and help learners achieve meaningful and beneficial outcomes through personalised lifelong learning opportunities. This award winning setting is a specialist day service for autistic and SEN adults that are aged 18+. This specialist setting is committed to empowering individuals to make positive, personal choices that enhance their wellbeing and social inclusion. Since 2012, this setting has provided a structured and supportive environment, where learners work closely with the skilled Learning Support Workers to achieve their educational and personal development goals.

Job Responsibility

Support learners to build confidence, communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and self-management strategies
work with learners following bespoke learning plans
work closely with families and health & social care professionals

Requirements

Experience in a support or care role is beneficial but not essential
experience supporting learners with SEN would be desirable
caring
patient
committed to supporting autistic adults
