Job Description

Learning Support Worker - Swindon | £13.75 per hour. Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with learning disabilities? Our client, a welcoming and inclusive school in Swindon, is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Worker to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children in accessing education within a caring environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Providing tailored support to students with various learning disabilities
  • Assisting with classroom activities, lesson delivery, and behaviour management
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Makaton, PECS, or other communication tools
  • Relevant qualifications in education or health & social care
