Job Description

This is a specialist day centre with a difference, unlike over adult education centres this aims to break the mould. This centre has the young people and adults at the centre of everything! This ofsted OUTSTANDING centre is seeking a Learning support Worker to join their team. Supporting small groups of learners with their educational goals, work experience and life skills. In this role you will support learners 18+ years with complex needs associated with Autism. This is a centre that offers every learner a relevant, creative and diverse curriculum that enables every learner to achieve, grow in confidence and self esteem and lead a life of educational adventure.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting young people and adults with complex needs
  • Working and supporting learners on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis
  • Supporting not just the educational but also the physical and spiritual well being of the pupils

Requirements

  • Committed, resilient and creative individual who is committed to supporting the needs of learners with complex SEN needs
  • Level 2 Diploma in teaching and learning or health and social care (desirable not essential)
  • Experience working or volunteering with children, young people or adults (desirable)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
