Job Responsibility:
proactively monitor and support student wellbeing and learning
exercise pastoral care and behaviour support in a manner which reflects school values
implement strategies which promote a healthy and positive learning environment
work collaboratively with teaching staff and students with regards to student learning needs
assist children with their learning needs, either in groups or individually
participate in Program Support Group (PSG) meetings as required
provide supervision during lunch and recess breaks when timetabled
complete other duties as directed by the Principal and other leadership team members
maintain each student’s privacy and confidentiality
maintain a commitment to Child Safety in keeping with our Child Safety Policy
Requirements:
supportive of the Catholic Ethos
experience working with students with learning and behavioural needs
have excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with staff and other stakeholders
ability to work as part of a professional educative team
a willingness to join in the life of the school community
applicants must have a current Working With Children Check
equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or training
