Job Description:

We are working with a primary school in Thamesmead, Greenwich, that has a specialist hub within their school dedicated to children with SEN. The school is seeking dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistants to join their team on a full-time basis and make a real difference in the lives of these children.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support children who require time out from the classroom due to their additional needs
  • Work with pupils with a range of SEND, including autism, ADHD, and behavioural needs
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and fellow Learning Support Assistants to plan and deliver engaging learning and development activities
  • Provide support to pupils across a variety of classes, tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs

Requirements:

  • Prior experience supporting children or adults with SEN
  • Possess a genuine passion for working with children with additional needs
  • Are patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships with pupils
  • Are enthusiastic about contributing to a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
