Learning Support Assistant Job at Randstad (Newham, Greater London)

Job Responsibility

Holistic SEN Support: Work across various year groups within both mainstream classrooms and specialist provision, supporting children with a wide range of differing and complex needs
EHCP Implementation: Utilise your experience with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) to support children in working towards their individual targets through tailored strategies and interventions
Targeted Care: Proactively identify barriers to learning, using a calm, positive, and adaptable approach to meet the changing communication, sensory, social, emotional, and behavioural needs of the children
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a wider team, communicating professionally with class teachers, SEND staff, and external professionals to ensure children receive the highest quality support

SEN Experience: Substantial experience supporting children with SEN, specifically understanding autism (Autism Spectrum Condition) and complex learning needs within a primary school setting
Key Traits: Caring, patient, resilient, consistently positive, solution-focused, and deeply aware of the importance of consistency and routine for vulnerable learners
Professionalism: Demonstrated excellence in reliability, professional communication, and timekeeping
Availability: Available Term-Time only, 5 days per week for the full academic year contract (3rd September 2026 - 16th July 2027)
Compliance: An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) and a valid Right to Work in the UK
