Job Description:

Join Our Year 1 Team – Learning Support Assistant. Do you love helping children thrive? We’re looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil in Year 1 who has additional needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s learning journey.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting a Year 1 pupil with tailored learning and emotional support
  • Working closely with the class teacher to adapt activities and interventions
  • Encouraging confidence, independence, and positive behaviour
  • Being a calm, caring presence in the classroom

Requirements:

  • Experience with children or SEN support (school-based experience is ideal)
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude
  • Ability to build trust and create a safe, supportive environment
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services
