Job Description

Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - SEND School. Location: Basildon, Essex. Start Date: Immediate (ASAP). Pay Rate: £100 - £110 per day (Dependent on Experience). Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary-to-Permanent opportunities. Are you a naturally calm, resourceful, and proactive individual looking for a truly rewarding role? A fantastic, highly supportive SEND school in Basildon is looking for an adaptable Learning Support Assistant to join their team immediately. This unique school caters to a wonderful group of students aged 3-19 with Moderate, Severe, and Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD/PMLD). No two days are the same, and the impact you make will be felt instantly.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting pupils across various age groups, tailoring your approach to their individual needs
  • Working closely with class teachers to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
  • Being proactive in managing behaviors and assisting with sensory or physical needs.

Requirements

  • Experience is desirable but NOT essential - a passion for supporting young people and the right attitude is what truly matters
  • A calm, patient nature with the ability to stay grounded under pressure
  • An adaptable and resourceful mindset-someone who can think on their feet
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one immediately).
