We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive school community in Worthing. Job Responsibility
Support pupils individually and in small groups to access learning activities
Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities
Promote positive behaviour and encourage student independence
Provide additional support for pupils with SEND, including those with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social, emotional and mental health needs
Help monitor and record student progress
Support pupils during breaktimes, educational visits, and extracurricular activities where required
Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Requirements
Has a genuine passion for supporting children and young people
Demonstrates patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
Works effectively as part of a team
Is reliable, adaptable, and proactive
Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Nice to have
Has experience working with children or young people
Has knowledge of SEND and inclusive education practices
