Job Description:

Work with Through SEN Provision supporting boys aged 5-11 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and Autistic Spectrum Conditions in a unique environment focusing on holistic approaches and individualized support.

Job Responsibility:

Provide support to students in the classroom: Assist teachers with lessons, provide individualised support, and help create a positive learning environment
Collaborate with the class teacher: Work closely with the teacher to implement personalized learning plans and ensure each student's needs are met
Support students with a range of needs: Provide help with activities, behaviour management, and personal care as required
Create a positive and encouraging atmosphere: Promote a sense of safety, belonging, and well-being
Learn and grow: Participate in training and qualifications

Requirements:

A valid DBS check
A full driving licence (preferred)
Genuine passion for working with children with social, emotional and mental health needs and Autistic Spectrum Conditions
Patient, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting learners
Experience working in education, children's homes, or EYFS (desirable)
Experience with Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECs) or other communication tools for non-verbal learners (desirable)
Experience with speech & language or BSL (desirable)
