Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our outstanding alternative provision in Haywards Heath. We provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for children with mental health needs, who are either admitted to the hospital or attend as day patients.

Job Responsibility:

Assist teachers in the classroom, ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment
Provide individual and group support to students with a wide range of needs
Help students with their learning and develop their confidence and independence
Contribute to a culture of respect and understanding

Requirements:

Maths and English GCSE or equivalent Grade C or above
A good standard of education across a range of subjects
Excellent numeracy/literacy skills - equivalent to NVQ Level 2 in English & Maths
Working knowledge of the national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes
Full working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice/legislation
