We are seeking a dedicated and supportive Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming primary school in Northamptonshire, starting after the May half term 2026. This is a full-time role, providing 1:1 support to a pupil, making a meaningful impact on their learning and development.
Job Responsibility:
Provide consistent 1:1 support for a pupil, adapting approaches to meet their individual needs
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
Support the pupil’s academic, social, and emotional development
Help manage behaviour positively and effectively in line with school policies
Monitor and record progress, feeding back to the class teacher and SENCO
Encourage independence and confidence in learning
Support during classroom activities, playtimes, and daily routines
Work collaboratively with staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for the pupil
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
Right to work in the UK
Available full-time from after May half term 2026
Two recent professional references
Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
