Job Description

Affinity Partnerships are looking for a full-time learning support assistant to work in multi-academy trusts in the South Gloucestershire area. The ideal candidate would have experience working with children, whether that’s as a teaching assistant or other work involving working with children, confidence in working with children with a variety of learning abilities and needs, be encouraging and positive as well as being supportive to their educational needs.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children (e.g., as a teaching assistant)
  • Confidence in working with children with a variety of learning abilities and needs
  • Must be able to drive and have access to a car
  • Sound understanding of Primary/Secondary Education
  • Excellent literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
  • Confidence supporting the KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4 curriculum
  • Experience of supporting children in all aspects of the curriculum
  • Team player, with initiative and good sense of humour
  • Experience of working with children with a range of additional needs including Autism, Speech and language difficulties both in small groups and 1:1
  • Positive approach and flexible to the demands of the job
