Job Description:

Learning Support Assistant role in a 3‑form entry primary school in Worthing, supporting Year 6 pupils. The role involves working Monday to Friday from 8:30am–3:30pm.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support pupils both 1:1 and in small groups, helping them feel confident and ready for SATs
  • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging, accessible learning
  • Provide emotional and academic support to ensure every child can thrive
  • Be part of a collaborative year group team in a warm, well‑resourced school

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in KS2
  • Year 6 experience is a bonus
  • Positive, proactive and patient
  • Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • Bring energy, commitment and resilience to the classroom
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services
