We are seeking Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across Primary and Secondary settings. Unlike a general assistant, your role is focused on learning outcomes-identifying where a student is struggling and providing the specific scaffolding, tools, and encouragement they need to succeed.
Job Responsibility:
Targeted Academic Support: Lead small group interventions in Literacy and Numeracy, helping students catch up or keep pace with the curriculum
Teach students how to learn, focusing on organisation, memory techniques, and confidence-building
Differentiating Resources: Take a standard lesson and re-package it
Small Group Leadership: Take charge of breakout sessions, guiding 3-5 students through a specific task
Promoting Independence: Use the scaffold and fade technique
Progress Tracking: Maintain clear records of student breakthroughs and hurdles, providing vital data to the Class Teacher and SENCO
Requirements:
Are Academically Confident: strong GCSEs (especially in English and Maths) and the ability to explain academic concepts clearly and creatively
Are Proactive
Have Relevant Experience: university tutoring, coaching, or previous school work
Are Committed: hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply) and are 100% dedicated to Safeguarding
