Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to work within schools across Chichester. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a range of learning needs, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils within the classroom
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities
  • Support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health needs
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote student engagement
  • Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
  • Support pupils with personal, social, and emotional development

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
  • A patient, caring, and positive approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Flexibility, reliability, and a commitment to supporting children's learning and wellbeing
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or support work are advantageous
