Job Description:

AK Teaching are seeking an energetic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support students in our partner Secondary Schools. This role offers a unique opportunity for individuals with a background in education, childcare and sports coaching, to contribute to the academic and personal development of the students.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in facilitating general classroom activities and providing support to students
  • Utilise skills and techniques to engage students and promote learning, physical activity and well-being
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to create inclusive learning environments tailored to individual student needs
  • Offer 1:1 support to students as needed, addressing specific learning goals and objectives
  • Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to enhance the overall learning experience

Requirements:

  • Possess a fully enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for a new one
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and needs
  • Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to supporting students' academic and personal development
  • Flexible approach to work and willingness to assist with various classroom tasks beyond sports coaching duties
