Job Description

We are seeking Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across Primary and Secondary settings. Unlike a general assistant, your role is focused on learning outcomes-identifying where a student is struggling and providing the specific scaffolding, tools, and encouragement they need to succeed.

Job Responsibility

  • Targeted Academic Support - lead small group interventions in Literacy and Numeracy
  • Teach students how to learn focusing on organisation memory techniques and confidence-building
  • Differentiating Resources - create simplified worksheets visual aids or word banks
  • Small Group Leadership - guide 3-5 students through a specific task
  • Promoting Independence - use scaffold and fade technique
  • Progress Tracking - maintain clear records of student breakthroughs and hurdles

Requirements

  • Academically Confident - strong GCSEs especially in English and Maths and the ability to explain academic concepts clearly and creatively
  • Proactive - can spot a struggling student and move in to offer support before they lose focus
  • Relevant Experience - university tutoring, coaching, or previous school work
  • Committed - hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply) and 100% dedicated to Safeguarding
