Job Description:

We have various hours available as Learning Support Assistants (LSA) at our College. We provide support to learners across a variety of interesting subjects we offer at College such as Art, Construction, Business, Protective Services, Sport, Catering, Hair & Beauty, Science, Healthcare, Travel & Tourism to name a few. We support learners either on a 1:1 basis or a small group of learners.

Job Responsibility:

Note-taking, demonstrating
Explaining in steps how to do a task set by the teacher
Joining college trips to support learners
Meeting and greeting a learner to help them into College and to their lessons
Using support strategies to keep a learner / learners focused on their learning
Creating or making adaptions to materials to help the learner access their learning / environment

Requirements:

Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)
Good working standard of English and Maths, ideally GCSE Grade C (4/5) in Maths and English (or equivalent)
Good working knowledge and understanding of a wide range of additional needs and strategies to support them
Excellent organisational and digital literacy skills
Enhanced DBS check
