Job Description:

Join our Partnered Schools Team as a Learning Support Assistant and help shape the future of a brand‑new specialist school. We are excited to be recruiting for full‑time Learning Support Assistants for Briarwood South, a brand‑new special needs school in Knowle West opening in May. Briarwood South is being opened by Briarwood School, an Ofsted Outstanding provider known for exceptional care, specialist expertise, and a strong commitment to inclusion. This is a rare opportunity to become part of the founding team, supporting children with severe and profound disabilities and helping to establish the culture, routines, and values of a brand‑new school from day one. Your role will be vital in helping students thrive during their foundation years and beyond.

Job Responsibility:

Support children with severe and profound disabilities
Help establish the culture, routines, and values of a brand‑new school
Support students in developing independence, communication, emotional regulation, and life skills

Requirements:

Experience in a similar role or with individuals with disabilities (desirable)
Confident working with challenging behaviour
Can provide 1:1 or 2:1 support tailored to individual needs
Demonstrates strong behaviour management and communication skills
Is comfortable with personal care
Is proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic
Is committed to inclusion, teamwork, and continuous learning
