Job Description:

Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Do you possess a good sense of humor, along with effective behavior management strategies? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) at our outstanding schools in plymouth

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support with SEND
  • Implement effective behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment
  • Demonstrate excellent use of initiative to adapt support techniques to meet individual student needs
  • Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages student engagement and confidence
  • Understand and accommodate different children's needs and learning styles

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in UK
  • Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
  • Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
  • 2 recent professional references
  • Ability to communicate with and inspire children
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare
  • Previous experience working with SEND students is essential
  • A good sense of humor and a positive attitude towards supporting students
  • Demonstrated ability in behavior management strategies
  • Excellent use of initiative to adapt support techniques
  • Understanding of different children's needs and learning styles
