Job Description

We are a leading special school and residential centre in East Grinstead, dedicated to supporting extraordinary children and young people aged 4 to 19. Our pupils live with epilepsy, autism, learning difficulties, and complex neurological conditions. Job Responsibility

Assisting pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development, adapting to their unique communication and learning styles
Providing a secure environment for pupils with complex needs, including monitoring those with epilepsy or specific medical conditions
Helping the class teacher implement tailored learning plans and tracking pupil progress
Encouraging independence and life skills, helping young people celebrate their daily wins

Requirements

A minimum of 2 months of experience working or volunteering with individuals who have Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Empathy
Patience
A calm demeanour under pressure
A great sense of humour
Excellent attendance and punctuality
Availability for at least 3 days a week between Monday and Friday (9:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
