Job Description:

Robertswood School is looking to employ a Learning Support Assistant who is an inspirational, friendly and driven individual, who can support our children in achieving their goals. Our successful applicant will be enthusiastic, innovative and have the necessary knowledge and skills for delivering inclusive, high quality learning. The Learning Support Assistant role will involve supporting all children with their learning, under direction and guidance of class teachers. To help monitor and assess children's learning and support in targets for improvement.

Job Responsibility:

Support Robertswood Teaching Staff team in delivering high-quality learning experiences
Assist with child development activities tailored to individual needs
Help create a safe, welcoming and stimulating learning environment
Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff as part of a dedicated team
Support pupils' social, emotional and educational development
Continue to maintain the high standards of behaviour and engagement throughout the school
The post may also involve supporting an individual pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan

Requirements:

Ideally has experience of working with children and working in a busy environment
Is passionate about children's learning and in every child achieving their full potential
Has strong communication skills
Is caring and has lots of enthusiasm and patience
Is flexible and willing to collaborate as part of a supportive team
Minimum requirement of GCSE English and Maths qualification (Grade 4 or above – or equivalent)
Must be able to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English
