We are currently on the outlook for Learning Support Assistants to join our top-performing secondary schools throughout Chester and the surrounding CH postcodes. If you are an experienced classroom professional who enjoys working closely with students to help them reach their potential, we have the role for you. We have long-term and day-to-day supply available in mainstream secondary schools across the region.

Job Responsibility:

Provide one-to-one support to students who need extra help with their work
Work with small groups of pupils to keep them focused on the task
Explain the teacher's instructions in a simpler way for students
Help students with their reading, writing, or practical activities
Help the teacher manage classroom behaviour and keep students on track
Prepare learning materials and hand out equipment during lessons
Monitor student progress and give feedback to the class teacher
Support student's well-being and confidence within the school day
Supervise students during break times and between lesson changes

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people (classroom support, coaching, or youth work) is preferred
A patient, encouraging nature and the ability to explain tasks clearly
You must hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS check and have the right to work in the UK
