Learning Support Assistant

• Support students with SEMH needs on a 1:1 or small group basis, both inside and outside the classroom
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
• Foster positive, trusting relationships with students to support their social and emotional development
• Monitor student progress and report observations to teaching staff and parents/carers
• Assist with personal care and provide physical support if required
• Contribute to creating a safe and supportive learning environment, encouraging resilience and self-confidence

• Previous experience working with young people with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, or additional needs
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable learners
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain resilient and positive in challenging situations
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
• Qualifications in SEN support or Behaviour support such as Team Teach (or willingness to obtain the qualifications)

Relevant qualifications in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related fields (desirable but not needed)
