Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) provision. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with students from Year 7 upwards, providing tailored support to help them succeed both academically and emotionally.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEMH needs
  • Assist in delivering personalised learning plans and interventions
  • Support classroom teachers in creating an inclusive learning environment
  • Help students develop social, emotional, and behavioural skills
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEMH or SEND setting
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations
  • A proactive, empathetic approach to supporting learning and wellbeing
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (due to location)
