Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Colne Community School for a Learning Support Assistant to join our SEND Team. Our school is a community in which we believe everyone, students and staff alike, should have the opportunity to be nourished and grow. Therefore, we are seeking to recruit a proactive and forward-thinking member of staff to enrich the skills and experience already present in our SEND Team. We aim to foster an inclusive culture where everyone is able to learn from each other. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, confident and diligent.

Job Responsibility:

To aid the student(s) to learn as effectively as possible and to reach their full potential in whole class, group or individual situations
Ensuring the needs of new students are circulated to relevant staff
Contribute to reviews of the students’ progress

Requirements:

GCSE Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent
Ability to understand and support children with developmental difficulty or disability
Ability to resolve routine problems independently
