Learning Support Assistant Position | Make a Difference in a Specialist School. Are you a compassionate, resilient individual who wants to help young people with special educational needs thrive? A specialist school is urgently seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team. This is a chance to build a meaningful career and directly impact the lives of students in a supportive and rewarding environment. In this role, you'll work in a dynamic school setting, providing crucial support to students aged 5 to 18. Your focus will be on helping a small class (typically 4-5 students) who have a wide range of complex needs, including autism and physical disabilities.
Job Responsibility:
Provide one-on-one and small-group support to help students with their learning and daily activities
Collaborate with experienced teachers to deliver tailored educational and personal care plans
Assist in creating a positive and nurturing classroom environment where every student feels safe and understood
Help facilitate learning and social interaction, celebrating every small victory with your students
Requirements:
Fully available to work full-time, Monday to Friday or able to build up to 5 days
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proactive, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team
Genuine desire to make a difference in students lives
A valid Enhanced DBS check (for both children and adults) is required
A full driving license is highly recommended due to the school's location
