Job Description

We are seeking empathetic, energetic, and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants to join an outstanding specialised school community in the East Grinstead area. In this role, you will be supporting unique children and young adults (aged 4-25) who require specialised, attentive care to thrive. You will work alongside a passionate team of educators, therapists, and support staff to make learning accessible, safe, and fun. The student group includes young people navigating: Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Epilepsy and neurological conditions, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Complex communication and sensory needs. You will assist with daily classroom activities, implement creative learning ideas, and help students develop crucial life and social skills in both indoor and outdoor learning environments.

  • Promote independence and dignity while assisting with daily routines and personal care. You will be trained in Epilepsy First Aid and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) to maintain a safe, inclusive environment for all students
  • Work effectively within an interdisciplinary team of therapists, nurses, and support staff. You will mentor junior colleagues, set high professional standards, and maintain clear, consistent communication with parents regarding student development
