Our Specialist Trust in Cranleigh is currently seeking experienced practitioners who are ready to transition from a generalist classroom into a dedicated, resource-rich environment designed for neurodivergent success. We support children and young people with complex Autism (ASC), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and associated learning profiles within a framework of excellence.
Job Responsibility
Integrated Clinical Synergy: Collaborate daily with a permanent, on-site team of Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists to implement and refine complex EHCP goals
Low-Arousal Environments: Operate within a purpose-built, low-stimulus setting designed to minimise anxiety and maximise cognitive engagement
Expansive Pedagogical Assets: Utilise our premier 23-acre site to deliver high-quality outdoor learning, vocational pathways, and community-based life skills
Evidence-Based Practice: Apply your expertise in AAC (Makaton, PECS, Proloquo2Go) and positive behavioural support within a structured, data-driven framework
Requirements
Proven Track Record: Substantial experience supporting complex needs (ASC, SLCN, or SEMH) in a professional capacity
Communication Proficiency: Advanced competency in alternative communication methods and the ability to mentor junior staff in these modalities
Strategic Resilience: An expert understanding of de-escalation, maintaining professional boundaries, and the importance of long-term consistency in student development
