Job Description:

Learning Support Assistants Needed for Jan 2026 Wallasey. We are seeking dedicated individuals for our secondary schools in Wallasey (CH44/CH45) to start this coming January. In this position, you are the backbone of student success. You aren't just an assistant; you are the mentor who transforms a student's academic struggle into a story of achievement. By providing steady guidance and emotional support, you ensure that every young person in our community has an equal chance to thrive.

Job Responsibility:

Support students in 1:1 or small group settings to help them access the curriculum
Adapt learning materials to suit the specific needs and abilities of individual pupils
Help manage classroom behaviour to create a calm and productive learning environment
Guide students through social interactions to build their confidence and emotional resilience
Assist teachers in tracking progress and identifying areas where a student needs extra care
Provide a safe and encouraging space for students with additional learning needs to thrive

Requirements:

A minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) is essential
A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is highly desirable
Empathy & Patience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Adaptability
Resilience

Nice to have:

A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Relevant experience
