We are seeking Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across Primary and Secondary settings. Unlike a general assistant, your role is focused on learning outcomes-identifying where a student is struggling and providing the specific scaffolding, tools, and encouragement they need to succeed.
Job Responsibility:
Lead small group interventions in Literacy and Numeracy
Teach students how to learn, focusing on organisation, memory techniques, and confidence-building
Differentiating Resources: Take a standard lesson and 're-package' it
Small Group Leadership: Take charge of 'breakout' sessions, guiding 3-5 students through a specific task
Promoting Independence: Use the 'scaffold and fade' technique
Progress Tracking: Maintain clear records of student breakthroughs and hurdles
Requirements:
Strong GCSEs (especially in English and Maths)
ability to explain academic concepts clearly and creatively
experience helping others learn (university tutoring, coaching, or previous school work)
hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
