Job Description

Are you an academically minded, supportive individual with a knack for making difficult concepts 'click'? Join our network as a Learning Support Assistant and help students overcome learning barriers to reach their full potential. Position: Full-Time, Long-Term (Term Time Only). Start Date: Immediate / Next Term.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead small group interventions in Literacy and Numeracy
  • teach students how to learn (organisation, memory techniques, confidence-building)
  • differentiate resources
  • lead breakout sessions
  • promote independence using scaffold and fade technique
  • track student progress

Requirements

  • Strong GCSEs (especially in English and Maths)
  • ability to explain academic concepts clearly and creatively
  • proactive
  • experience helping others learn
  • enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
  • commitment to Safeguarding
