We are seeking Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across Primary and Secondary settings. Unlike a general assistant, your role is focused on learning outcomes - identifying where a student is struggling and providing the specific scaffolding, tools, and encouragement they need to succeed.
Job Responsibility
Lead small group interventions in Literacy and Numeracy
Teach students how to learn (organisation, memory techniques, confidence-building)
Differentiating resources (creating simplified worksheets, visual aids, word banks)
Small group leadership (breakout sessions for 3-5 students)
Promoting independence using 'scaffold and fade' technique
Progress tracking (maintain clear records of student breakthroughs and hurdles)
Requirements
Academically confident: strong GCSEs (especially in English and Maths) and ability to explain academic concepts clearly and creatively
Proactive: can spot a struggling student and move in to offer support
Relevant experience: university tutoring, coaching, or previous school work
Committed: holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply) and 100% dedicated to Safeguarding
