We are seeking Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across Primary and Secondary settings. Unlike a general assistant, your role is focused on learning outcomes-identifying where a student is struggling and providing the specific scaffolding, tools, and encouragement they need to succeed.
Job Responsibility
Targeted Academic Support: Lead small group interventions in Literacy and Numeracy
Teach students how to learn, focusing on organisation, memory techniques, and confidence-building
Differentiating Resources: repackage standard lessons with simplified worksheets, visual aids, or word banks
Small Group Leadership: guide 3-5 students through specific tasks
Promoting Independence: use scaffold and fade technique
Progress Tracking: maintain clear records of student breakthroughs and hurdles
Requirements
Academically Confident
strong GCSEs (especially in English and Maths)
ability to explain academic concepts clearly and creatively
Proactive
Relevant Experience (university tutoring, coaching, or previous school work)
Committed
hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
