We are seeking Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across Primary and Secondary settings. Unlike a general assistant, your role is focused on learning outcomes-identifying where a student is struggling and providing the specific scaffolding, tools, and encouragement they need to succeed.
Job Responsibility
Lead small group interventions in Literacy and Numeracy
Teach students how to learn focusing on organisation, memory techniques, and confidence-building
Differentiating Resources: re-package lessons with simplified worksheets, visual aids, or word banks
Small Group Leadership: guide 3-5 students through tasks
Promoting Independence: use scaffold and fade technique
Progress Tracking: maintain records of student breakthroughs and hurdles
Requirements
Academically Confident: strong GCSEs (especially in English and Maths) and ability to explain academic concepts clearly
Proactive: can spot struggling students and offer support
Relevant Experience: university tutoring, coaching, or previous school work
Committed: holds or willing to apply for enhanced DBS on update service, dedicated to Safeguarding
