Learning Support Assistant (LSA) | Academic Inclusion | Local Schools. Position: Full-Time, Long-Term (Term Time Only). Salary: £90 - £95 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience). Start Date: Immediate / Next Term. Are you an academically minded, supportive individual with a knack for making difficult concepts 'click'? Join our network as a Learning Support Assistant and help students overcome learning barriers to reach their full potential.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead small group interventions in Literacy and Numeracy
  • Teach students how to learn (organisation, memory techniques, confidence-building)
  • Differentiating resources (create simplified worksheets, visual aids, word banks)
  • Small group leadership of 'breakout' sessions (3-5 students)
  • Promoting independence using 'scaffold and fade' technique
  • Progress tracking and maintaining records for Class Teacher and SENCO

Requirements

  • Academically Confident: Strong GCSEs (especially English and Maths) and ability to explain academic concepts
  • Proactive: spot struggling students and offer support
  • Relevant Experience: university tutoring, coaching, or previous school work
  • Committed: enhanced DBS on update service (or willing to apply) and dedicated to Safeguarding
