Learning Support Assistant (LSA) | Academic Inclusion | Local Schools. Position: Full-Time, Long-Term (Term Time Only). Start Date: Immediate / Next Term. Are you an academically minded, supportive individual with a knack for making difficult concepts 'click'? Join our network as a Learning Support Assistant and help students overcome learning barriers to reach their full potential. We are seeking Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across Primary and Secondary settings.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead small group interventions in Literacy and Numeracy
  • teach students how to learn, focusing on organisation, memory techniques, and confidence-building
  • differentiate resources by creating simplified worksheets, visual aids, or word banks
  • take charge of breakout sessions guiding 3-5 students
  • use scaffold and fade technique
  • maintain clear records of student breakthroughs and hurdles

Requirements:

  • Key Stage 2 English and Maths
  • ability to explain academic concepts clearly and creatively
  • proactive
  • ability to spot a struggling student and move in to offer support
  • relevant experience in university tutoring, coaching, or previous school work
  • enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • 100% dedication to Safeguarding

Nice to have:

  • background in youth work
  • experience in administering medication
  • experience with autism spectrum disorders
  • experience with learning difficulties
  • experience with social emotional mental health
