Job Description:

Are you an academically minded, supportive individual with a knack for making difficult concepts click? Join our network as a Learning Support Assistant and help students overcome learning barriers to reach their full potential. This is a full-time, long-term (term time only) position. Salary: £90 - £95 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience). Start Date: Immediate / Next Term.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead small group interventions in Literacy and Numeracy
  • Teach students how to learn, focusing on organisation, memory techniques, and confidence-building
  • Differentiate resources such as creating simplified worksheets, visual aids, or word banks
  • Take charge of breakout sessions guiding 3-5 students
  • Use the scaffold and fade technique to promote independence
  • Maintain clear records of student progress and provide data to the Class Teacher and SENCO

Requirements:

  • Are academically confident with strong GCSEs (especially in English and Maths) and the ability to explain academic concepts clearly and creatively
  • Are proactive, able to spot a struggling student and offer support
  • Have relevant experience such as university tutoring, coaching, or previous school work
  • Are committed, hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply) and are dedicated to Safeguarding
