Job Description

We are seeking Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across Primary and Secondary settings. Unlike a general assistant, your role is focused on learning outcomes-identifying where a student is struggling and providing the specific scaffolding, tools, and encouragement they need to succeed.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead small group interventions in Literacy and Numeracy
  • Teach students how to learn, focusing on organisation, memory techniques, and confidence-building
  • Differentiating Resources
  • Take standard lesson and re-package it
  • Small Group Leadership
  • Take charge of breakout sessions
  • Promoting Independence
  • Use scaffold and fade technique
  • Progress Tracking
  • Maintain clear records of student breakthroughs and hurdles

Requirements

  • Academically Confident
  • strong GCSEs (especially in English and Maths)
  • ability to explain academic concepts clearly and creatively
  • Proactive
  • Relevant Experience (university tutoring, coaching, or previous school work)
  • Committed
  • holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
  • dedicated to Safeguarding
