We are seeking Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across Primary and Secondary settings. Unlike a general assistant, your role is focused on learning outcomes-identifying where a student is struggling and providing the specific scaffolding, tools, and encouragement they need to succeed.
Job Responsibility:
Lead small group interventions in Literacy and Numeracy
Teach students how to learn, focusing on organisation, memory techniques, and confidence-building
Differentiating Resources: take a standard lesson and 're-package' it-creating simplified worksheets, visual aids, or word banks
Small Group Leadership: take charge of 'breakout' sessions, guiding 3-5 students through a specific task
Promoting Independence: use the 'scaffold and fade' technique
Progress Tracking: maintain clear records of student breakthroughs and hurdles
Requirements:
Academically Confident: Strong GCSEs (especially in English and Maths) and the ability to explain academic concepts clearly and creatively
Proactive: spot a struggling student and move in to offer support before they lose focus
Relevant Experience: university tutoring, coaching, or previous school work, experience helping others learn
Committed: hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply) and are 100% dedicated to Safeguarding
