We are seeking Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across Primary and Secondary settings. Unlike a general assistant, your role is focused on learning outcomes-identifying where a student is struggling and providing the specific scaffolding, tools, and encouragement they need to succeed.
Job Responsibility
Lead small group interventions in Literacy and Numeracy
teach students how to learn, focusing on organisation, memory techniques, and confidence-building
differentiate resources (e.g., creating simplified worksheets, visual aids, word banks)
lead breakout sessions for 3-5 students
use scaffold and fade technique to promote independence
maintain clear records of student progress and provide data to Class Teacher and SENCO
Requirements
Strong GCSEs (especially English and Maths)
ability to explain academic concepts clearly and creatively
proactive
experience helping others learn (e.g., university tutoring, coaching, previous school work)
committed
enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply
