We are seeking Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across Primary and Secondary settings. Unlike a general assistant, your role is focused on learning outcomes-identifying where a student is struggling and providing the specific scaffolding, tools, and encouragement they need to succeed.
Job Responsibility:
Lead small group interventions in Literacy and Numeracy
Teach students how to learn focusing on organisation, memory techniques, and confidence-building
Differentiating Resources: re-package standard lessons into simplified worksheets, visual aids, or word banks
Small Group Leadership: guide 3-5 students through specific tasks
Promote Independence using scaffold and fade technique
Progress Tracking: maintain records of student breakthroughs and hurdles
Requirements:
Academically Confident: strong GCSEs especially in English and Maths and ability to explain academic concepts clearly
Proactive: able to spot struggling student and offer support
Relevant Experience: university tutoring, coaching, or previous school work
Committed: holds enhanced DBS on update service or willing to apply and dedicated to Safeguarding
