Join our network as a Learning Support Assistant and help students overcome learning barriers to reach their full potential. Bridging the Gap: Impact Through Intervention We are seeking Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across Primary and Secondary settings. Unlike a general assistant, your role is focused on learning outcomes-identifying where a student is struggling and providing the specific scaffolding, tools, and encouragement they need to succeed. Targeted Academic Support: Lead small group interventions in Literacy and Numeracy, helping students catch up or keep pace with the curriculum. The 'How-To' Specialist: Teach students how to learn, focusing on organisation, memory techniques, and confidence-building. Career Fast-Track: This is the gold standard of experience for those looking to apply for a PGCE, School Direct, or Masters in Education. Weekly Pay: Competitive daily rates of £90 - £95, paid every Friday via Randstad. Your Role as an LSA As a Learning Support Assistant, you are the link between the teacher's high-level plan and the student's individual understanding. Differentiating Resources: Take a standard lesson and 're-package' it-creating simplified worksheets, visual aids, or word banks-to suit the specific needs of the learners you support. Small Group Leadership: Take charge of 'breakout' sessions, guiding 3-5 students through a specific task to ensure they aren't overwhelmed by the pace of the main classroom. Promoting Independence: Use the 'scaffold and fade' technique-providing heavy support initially and gradually stepping back as the student gains the confidence to work alone. Progress Tracking: Maintain clear records of student breakthroughs and hurdles, providing vital data to the Class Teacher and SENCO to help shape future lessons.
