Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist SEND school in Tunbridge Wells, working full time with children in small group settings. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or additional needs who is passionate about helping pupils thrive in a nurturing and structured environment.

Job Responsibility:

Support children with a range of SEN, including learning, communication, social, and emotional needs
Work with pupils in small groups, supporting learning activities planned by the teacher
Help adapt lessons to ensure all children can access learning
Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
Support pupils’ emotional and social development
Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to meet individual needs
Contribute to a safe, calm, and inclusive school environment

Requirements:

Some experience working with children with SEN or additional needs (school, nursery, care, youth work, or similar settings)
Patient, kind, and adaptable
Good communication and teamwork skills
Committed to supporting children’s learning and wellbeing
Can work reliably in a full-time role
